On Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time, Mother Angelina of Holy Assumption Monastery, Calistoga, CA, will present a Zoom retreat for widows of clergy, titled, “Navigating Parish Life as a Widow of a Priest.” Mother Angelina is herself the widow of a clergyman, Father David Homiak. Together they served in five parishes. After raising her three children, Mother Angelina became a novice in 2008 at Saint Barbara Monastery in Santa Paula, CA; a year later most of that community was relocated to Holy Assumption Monastery. Mother Angelina became a stavrophor nun there in 2019.
